We will soon be moving to our new scientific home at Research Center Borstel - Leibniz Lung Center. The group is no longer accepting new members in Jena. All future hires will be based in Borstel (outside Hamburg).

We always welcome motivated bachelor and masters students for their thesis project. Both lab-based and computational projects are available and can be matched to your interest and background. If you are interested in doing your thesis project in the group, please send an email to amelia.barber@uni-jena.de with a short paragraph describing your specific interest in the group.

We periodically have openings for fully-funded PhD, postdoc, and technicians positions. These are advertised through common academic job portals as well as listed below:

• We anticipate hiring a postdoc and a technician in Summer 2026 thanks to incoming funding from the Wellcome Trust. If you are interested in either of these roles, please feel free to get in touch or watch this space for the advertisements.
