Lea is completing a MSc in Bioinformatics at the University of Jena and performing her thesis projects in the group. She was selected for the FSU Honours Programme and also works as a student assistant in the group, providing bioinformatic support to genomic and transcriptomic projects. Previously, she completed her bachelor thesis in the group studying the genomes of Aspergillus cryptic species. In her free time she loves baking, solving Sudokus and going on long walks or hikes with her friends.
