Robin Schäper is a biochemist turned bioinformatician. During his Bachelors and Masters studies at the University of Tübingen, he became increasingly interested in the application of high-throughput data to study complex systems like the proteome and immune system. He particularly enjoys data visualization and coming up with bioinformatics solutions that emphasize the scientific question first. He joined Amelia Barber’s lab in 2026 to work as a bioinformatics engineer on fungal metagenomics and transcriptomics. In his freetime he enjoys creating music and rockclimbing.
